2008-2009 Nav DVD for 05-07 C-class, 05-09 CLK, 06-08 ML & R-class, '07-'08 G & GL
Now finally available and I installed mine yesterday.
There's actually an "installation" process with progress bars and everything that takes a little bit. Do this with ignition on and don't shut off until process completes. Not sure whether this means couldn't reinstall the older disc or not.

From a NAVI standpoint, you can just buy the latest set of disks for your car. You may need to have an service update to the navi processor as well, which means a trip to the dealer. It's a free upgrade, and the easiest way is to try the new nav disks - if you get a "can't ready disk / no disk present" sorta error afterwards, you need to wander down to the dealer..
