This car phone issue has got me stumped - Big Time. I used to think I was technical but I am totally lost and confused now.
I have a 2006 E55 without the factory phone system, it does have NAV, Teleaid, cd-changer and stuff all the works apart from Sirrus and phone system.
Could someone tell me in plain english if I can have the teleaid setup to use the Bluetooth Puck for my cellphone. I have read about the univesal PSE but I still don't get it.

you'll see that the V60 cradle replacer is for 2003 to 2004 E-class cars.

You would need the 2006 option, if you do not have a phone kit already.

This bulletin combines installation of voice control in addition, but that isn't mandatory to have a phone.

The bulletin assumes a phone cradle, as bluetooth wasn't available at time bulletin was published, but of course the bluetooth "puck" fits nicely to the "contact plate" same as a cradle.

Ok Guys, thanks a lot. It is begining to make some kind of sense now.

I ran my VIN number through the Mercedes Benz Club database site in Russia (http://old.mbclub.ru/mb/vin/?lng=eng ) and I came up with this as part of whats installed in the car.

"Installation parts kit and connecting cable harness used for TeKaDe telephone BSA 31S with one set"

What does this mean/refer to? I don't want to appear dumb but I also don't want to jump to wrong conclusions.
