Help choosing the right amp for my 10inch sub
To anyone who could help me,
I currently have all the speakers in my car and my Alumapro BP series 10inch sub connected to an Alpine PDX 5 (see specs below for sub)
Frequency: 20-80 Hz
Power: 240-400 watts
Sensitivity: 96dB/2.83v/1m
Impedance: 4 or 8 Ohms
I would like to get another Alpine PDX amp but I want to know if this one will serve me best for casual listening as well as some loud hard hitting action - not interested in breaking any SPL records.

If anyone could steer me in the right direction that would be helpful. Alpine also make a 1x1000 amp but I have made myself belive that it would be overkill.

The PDX 1.600 is a decent amp but if you want an amp that will outperform it you should check out the JL Audio line of amps. They have a HD series and their traditional slash series. From our experience the JL amps consistently outperform Alpine and most other amps on the market.
