Buy the OEM MB wire harness and connect the comand with the TV tuner...all ready to go and as easy as can be (but expensive).

You can buy aftermarket wiring harnesses as well for less then half the MB price...unless you want to make your own wire harness...I don't know if that is what you planed to do?

There are 2 wiring harnesses available - one with the rear TV screen wiring, one without.

If you want the rear screen wiring, then U have to buy the MB one.

Id always buy the OEM one for the car, it fits nicely :-)

You also need a different antenna base (at top of rear windscreen) which has the amplifiers for the extra aerials - so the TV tuner has 4 aerials and picks the stongest signal.
You also need the bracket that the TV tuner mounts in - but I dont know where that fits on a S class and/or if you need other parts ...

It may be cheaper [but may not be, with the Euro] to buy the harness from a German dealer - certainly cheaper than UK dealers.

Installation

On a US car (S500), do you have to remove the headliner to perform this installation?
Thanks

I think you only need to drop it down at the rear to get to the
aerial amps - Im pretty sure its no more than that ..

Hi MBenzNl and Richard,

Do you have the list of OEM parts and where to get them from in order to retrofit the tv tuner to the S500 '00 COMAND ?

Thanks,
