Want to install Ipod compatible system but will invalidate my warranty. HELP!
Hi, I live in the UK and just bought a C180 estate.
It comes with a single disc CD player and I want to upgrade it so I can attach my Ipod but when I spoke to my Mercedes dealer they told me that if I did have it fitted and anything went wrong, it may invalidate my warranty as it was not fitted by Mercedes themselves. He then went on to tell me that they could do it for £350!
They said the same if I wanted to fit parking sensors. I can get a good parking system fitted (with a small screen and camera with the beeper warning) for £200 max but Mercedes say they can fit the parking senosrs (basic beeping coloured light system) for £500! What a rip off!!!
I am stuck as I don't want to invalidate my warranty but also realise that I can't afford to spend £850 on two items that I know will cost me no more then £350.
What to do?
