euro comand navigation swap in w209
hey everyone,
I have recently decided to go with a euro comand instead of the pioneer HU i just purchased. Before I go spend $1000 i want to know what else I need to replace my current USA comand with the euro to get video playing... My plan is to get a DVD player with av inputs for ipod connectivity and swap it with the CD changer and then get the euro comand...
Can someone give me the details on what else I need to get the job done and also with the euro comand can I simply insert DVDs into the navi CD slot and play dvds that way?
Thanks!

Nothing MB related (sorry)
... you didn't mention MY of your car. There is a difference between pre 2005 comand units and 2005+...
I take it you have a 2005+ 209 CLK. If so, then swapping the head unit for a Euro spec comand won't do you any good if it's for watching movie DVDs. The unit itself does NOT play movie DVDs.
You would either need a TV tuner kit or an aftermarket video adapter and use these to hook up a DVD player / changer.
greetingz,
