Remote Power for Amp 2004 E-500
I am trying to install my own Amp and polk twin 12 inch sub woofers in the trunk. I have it all setup up but I have to disconnect the power cable manually. I tend to forget this and endup having dead battery the next day. There is a "remote power" connection in my amp that should be hooked to something that gets power supply only when the keys are on. Basically when the amp does not get any power to "remote power" it shuts off (or goes to standby mode). Remote power leads are usually available on audio head units, I dont want to open the stock head unit. Is there any place I can get it from the trunk. I could connect to the rear light but that will mean unless the head lights are on, my amps wont power up. Any help would be much appreciated.
