2000 CLK 430
Question Nav System Error on Start

Hello All,

I just purchased a 2000 CLK 430 with COMMAND. My problem is that about 40-50% of the time when I start the car, the Nav system will say "Activating Navigation..." for a long time and then sometimes go into a "Navigation Error, the Navigation system is unavailable." This will always resolve itself after I drive for a mile or two, with no interaction from me. It just "fixes itself" and works normally. Also, once it is working normally, it never drops off or has problems. I don't live in a city or anything that would hurt satellite reception. I asked the dealer to look at it but they said is was functioning normally.
Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

My first guess would be a scratched up Nav CD....

Thanks, I will try another CD and see if that helps.
