Dump NTG1. Can I reuse the speakers? What do I lose?

Dump NTG1. Can I reuse the speakers? What do I lose?
Giving some serious thought to dumping my NTG1 and getting a new head unit. Probably the Pioneer AVIC-Z1100BT.
I own a 2005 S600 with NTG1 and Bose sounds system (redundant?). I have the hands-free phone and CD Changer options. The Pioneer unit will take care of these functions so I'm not concerned.
Can I reuse any of the speakers?
Can the NTG1 be removed without problems?
Is there any way to re-use any of the steering wheel controls (99% sure no).
Is there anything techincal I'm not thinking of?
