iPod integration kit

i've got a 2007 C230 Sport sedan (without HK sound)

what do you guys know about the iPod integration kit? i saw it for around $300 on the MB website but wonder if there's another alternative? i'm a little paranoid about having just anyone messing with wiring and causing problems with my MB warranty..

not paranoid about MB-installed. i don't have one at all right now - i'm saying that i'm looking for a cheaper alternative to the $300 + labor dealer option other than having some kid at an independent stereo joint messing with the electrical

Buy a $13 aux cable. You wont have stereo control of the iPod but it will sound good for cheap. You have a MB, it is worth it to get the Dension but that will run you $700 installed. GL.

Wink

thanks for the info.

mine doesn't have the aux jack in the front of the stereo, like toyotas do for instance. do you just connect it on the backside of the stereo and run the wire out?

Same boat as you for me so no problem. If you have a cd changer I would suggest taking it out so you have extra room in your glove. Simple to do. I really would suggest doing the dension in the future. That gives you full control using your comand interface (if you have it) That is what I intend to do for myself come christmas. Congrats on the new Benz.
