'03 E55 AMG, '09 GL 550

E55 W211 AMg Stereo Question

I have a 2003 E55AMG without Nav., and the stereo is giving my wife a fit. Seems that when she goes to FM the stereo continues to scan without picking up a station. Even the preset stations do not come in. Seems to be some sore of antenna connection problem, can you help me with a diagnosis?

beater with a heater

Check antenna in the trunk is connected to the Gateway (amp) left side of trunk... see if the antenna module is getting power (remove trim driver side C pillar)... it could be a host of problems but that is where I would start

Checked the amp for power and connections and everything seems to be working there. Any other ideas or a direction?
