Laser Jammers

1. Do any of them work? Which ones are the best? Are any upgradeable over the Web as new laser guns get introduced?
2. Is there an independent review anywhere on these things? All I see comes from vendors.
3. Do people recommend front and rear sensors (CL55 2005) or just front sensors?
4. What are best practices? Jam the gun and then turn the jammer off once the proper speed is attained?
5. Is it prudent to integrate them with a Valentine or just use their own detection capability? All of this posted information is confusing, at least to me.
6. Are the license plate sensor sufficient, or does one need two separate sensors front and rear (4 total)
7. Do the wireless units work so one doesn't have to snake wires everywhere?

Thanks in advance.

My experience is the opposite. I had a Escort SRX in my 05 E500. That car was replaced by a 08 E550 and a K40 Calibre system. My experience with the two is that the Escort is superior, especially as to range (amount of warning). In an 09 we just bought we are installing an Escort 9500ci, and I am considering (notwithstanding the expense) ripping the K40 out of the E550 snd replacing it with an Escort. YMMV.

we are talking laser systems not radar. as for the 9500ci it has the same amount as warning as the k40 system i have. though i was pulled twice for laser with the escort system and 0 for the k40. and I get nailed by laser on a daily basis. they have there trade offs each one. I like both.

I want to repeat all these questions.
I have a V1. No radar detection needed.

I want front and rear Laser Jammers that are hidden and I can turn off the jamming as I wish.

Which is the best ones to get in order of trade offs?

I do want to buy a unit from a real company that will be around for awhile. I intend to have it professionally installed.

All the tests I see are from vendors, duh, and the descriptions are not thorough.

sorry to hear about the v1... k40 ex2 for the front and a separate for the rear on the cl you listed as your vehicles, as for the G wagon... it would be like trying to cloak a 747with a pillow case

the rear really isn't going to help you with either the k40 or escort system...

just keeping it real! and no bs'ing or marketing.... real world testing!

What is the downside to the Valentine...I have had mine with very good luck.. Radar wise..which is most of what is used in the south.

you cant drive normally with out it going off with all the false alarms, my experience 99% false alarms, 1 % real... now if it was 50/50 I would say it was a good investment, but unfortunately it is not. In fact I sold it to a friend of mine in a Porsche who replaced it a month later with a different brand, as he said he was not enjoying it because of the falsing.

I was just down south 77 to 26-95-4-75-to 71 (Cleveland to Orlando and back) used the K40 RL100 for the trip... really didn't use it the whole way seeing everyone was doing 85 in the slow lane down their... it did do its job and I came home ticket free... but I noticed this... without being in the filter mode it is annoying as hell like the V1

You must've had a faulty V1 then. I've ran one in all my cars and you wouldn't catch me driving without one. There are some things like parking sensors that can set it off also, just like a laser jammer. I've spoken to V1 about the issue and ended up replacing a radar twice. I dont remember the explanation thoroughly, but I remember it made sense. Some dont like something apparently.
Downside to V1? That cops dont use radar anymore on highways. (At least here in the north). And now on roads too (ahem, my last ticket). Its all laser. Kick to the nuts if you ask me. Especially if you're not driving like a moron.

no issues with the V1, just way too sensitive for normal driving. laser is huge here also, I would recommend the k40 ex2 jammers on the front... you can do a rear, but honestly on a sedan and the angle of the trunk they can get a reading if the gun allows it. I have yet to know anyone or name the gun to get a rear laser ticket.
