Question Comand 2.0 RGB Hardwire Option

Nav 2.0 D2B US version any possibility to hardwire to display RGB line or use the blank TV button and the RGB connector at back?

the first method can just bypass the activate code I believe there is a company doing just that (avelectronic) and I see Acura and Toyota users even Infi all doing that, I'd like to know if anone have done that.

Second, may need dealer to activate the TV button using Star, but I think there is no wakeup signal like other components (CDC etc ) on D2B ring, so just hook up the rgb connector and go. Anyone with information or experience, I 'd like to do it myself instead of sending the unit to dealer and pay much higher.

What are you trying to accompish?
From what I know, no dealer will activate the TV button for Video in Motion because it is not av available in the STAR since 2002.

Wink

If it's display last stage RGB mod, it even doesn't need activate TV button. It just hihack the screen to display your RGB signal like a swtich and doesn't influence the NAV at background, so actually NAV still function normal at background. But I need to know the hardwire point on the NAV 2.0 system.

The point is, after the mod, you can put on video source, you can add backup camera, you can even add carrputer to the nav screen, so add your own navigation system, bluetooth phone even internet connection, though I don't know if the resolution of the display is good enogh.
