Audio 10 programming

Hello all. I purchased an Audio 10 in dash CD player from Europe. It appears to be an Alpine unit, the serial # starts with "A." I want to program it to North American radio standards...I know how with Becker units, anybody know how or where to go to find out how with Alpines? Thanks.

The Audio 10 is a Becker. I am not aware that it can be programmed for the North American AM band. If you know how, many members of this forum will be grateful to have that information.

I'm pretty sure it's an Alpine. I read on one of the forums that serial numbers starting with "A" are Alpine, those starting with "B" are Becker. Mine is a model MF2910, an in-dash CD player. So, otherwise, I don't know. From what I understand, this one is originally from a European '00 E430 but it works fine in my '96 S420. I just want to get the radio tuning numbers corrected. AM-European tuning is different than North American (it's off by two numbers). I may have to see the dealer for this.

Here is a picture:

For reprogamming Beckers, I found this site:

A quick check of the German ebay for Audio 10's shows two pages of them. Most state they are Beckers, while one says it is a Becker/Alpine. The Audio 10's for W203's are all Beckers. Does yours have a sticker stating the manufacturer? Mine has a sticker which says Becker on one side on the unit. I'm not at home, so I can't check the p/n on the unit.

Hi Lynn. There is no sticker. I have e-mailed info@beckerautosound.com. When I get this figured out, I'll post it here.
