You won't be disappointed. The DRC is cool only for controlling the subs. I had mine installed in place of the astray...fits perfect in there...plus I can fold down the cover..and you wouldn't know it's there lol.

Found out there is nothing such as a wireless remote. I think I have to order Bit Ten D which comes with DRC and a useful addition to the system.

Helix DSP or Mosconi 4to6/6to8 are Very powerful processors and do not need a new primary control. However, all of these will only serve minimal purposes if you are not planning on an active setup. Much more flexibility than stock, but you would be utilizing a small percentage of their capabilities.
Following the speaker install, the shop had turned down my amp. I just turned it up to roughly where I had it before and generally peaked 110db at ear height above center console. I think the sound is awesome from the Focals, so crisp and clear for what I can hear; sure the Bit ten would allow me to set the equalizer, filters etc. but folks please tell me if it will make a difference or I should install it just for the heck of it, bragging rights (no I've other things for bragging rights and no one really cares).

Well, spoke to an Audison dealer and he said it will make little to no difference if I use the Bit Ten only for the door component speakers without an active setup and I'd be wasting my money. I ofcourse want to waste my money but now thinking if it really will make any difference at all; back to the cross roads again.

Moving on .. I really don't think there is much you can or should do further unless you feel that there are deficiencies in the system. We do a Lot of active setups here, but that is also the primary clientele we deal with. We also do the tuning- both initial and remotely and clients rarely 'play' with it afterward.

Precisely what and why I mentioned it. Not sure who you dealt with, but next time you're in tell Colin and Marc I (Don) said Hi !

Audio System Pics CLS500
I noticed there haven't been a lot of pics posted in this thread lately, so I'm submitting these. My car came with the Harmon Karden "upgraded" sound, but I was not happy with the sound quality; specifically the poor bass. I replaced the stock speakers with Hertz 165 HSK components in each door; replaced the center channel speaker with Hertz HL70 3.5 in. speaker. Removed the stock subwoofer and added two 10 inch Alpine Type R subs in a sealed box. Amps are old school Arc Audio XXK 2500 (2x500 wpc); XXK 4150 (4x150 wpc). I retained the stock COMAND head unit. I used a AudioControl LC6 with the stock amp. The sound is really quite nice!
I am considering installing the Pioneer AVIC 8000Nex head unit to get phone/ipod functionality which I currently lack. Alternatively, I'm considering installing the JBL MS-8 and the Mobridge unit for ipod/phone integration while retaining OEM cosmetics. Already have the MS-8 from a prior install.
I welcome opinions and thoughts on my planned mods. Has anyone used the MS-8?

I've been so busy with work and designing a new house in my spare time that have not posted new photos. Here's an ineresting one from my last/recent front and rear doors Focal 165 KRX2's installation; shown is tweeter install in OEM location on front pillar.

I'm in favor of bit one however been so busy, have not had the time to have it installed. I'll have it installed on the West Coast since I'm driving 3000 miles coast to coast in my car late Friday/Early Saturday. I'll be listening to lots of sounds over the 40hr-50hr drive.

Yes I'm still on the factory head unit and have no intention of changing it. Don't know about version but it is the Harmon Kardon Logic 7 system.

My suggestion is to use a mobridge da1, it will replace the factory amp keeping the most loop closed and gives you a digital signal out which will go to the bit one. You could use the high level speaker signals coming out of the factory audio gateway amp and allowing the bit one to sum up the signal but it's not all that great. Just my opinion from experience.

My website will be down for two to four weeks since my servers are moving from NJ to WA. I'm just about to decommission them at my current location. Computer moving company will remove servers from racks, crate and transport them to the new location where I'll have a new business internet provider. They will be back up and running hopefully by or earlier than mid June

Hey what you do that you use servers? I went that route before but ended up setting it up on a dedicated server at 1&1, between the multiple T1's and security issues, I said screw it, never had an issue. When Sandy blew through they told me that the server would be down but they will be using the backup somewhere out west... didn't even know they did that.

I use the servers to host my websites (I can host them anywhere) however the servers primarily host most commercial softwares/technologies I work with for my clients. I can emulate and troubleshoot any environment and problem scenario. They also keep me ahead in technology when I obtain pre-release or beta software from manufacturers; I can become an expert well before they are released in the market. The other icing on the cake is business class internet with 24x7 support and better guarantee of speed and service.
