Radio retro fit help

I took a double DIN Mercedes Command Radio out of a 2001 ML 320 and installed it in my 2002 CLK 320. Everything fits and works (Radio, CD Weather Band ect.) except the steering wheel controls, the blacklight for the faceplate buttons, and I have to mannually turn the radio on and off. The radio will not turn off with the ingnition key. The instrument cluster on the dash also shows "audio" Can anyone give me any advice. Thanks
