Thoughts Please
The radio in my 03 CLK 500 has an interesting problem, when in AM with a talk station on and turned up it sounds like all my speakers are slightly blown and gets worse the louder I make it, but in FM the speakers sound great even at full volume.
Thanks

My 2000 S500 does the same. The talk radio sounds like hell.
MBUSA says this is normal. You have to set the sound setting (I think) to "speech" vs driver optimized, etc. The problem is, the setting to speech doesn't work on the AM only. Tou need to reset it every time you go back and forth from AM. What a PITA!

The problem on my 03 ml-class radio is different. While I am in the immediate NYC vicinity, radio reception is fine. When you get approx 35-40 miles away, the radio sounds as if the antenna is disconnected.
