Trying to install service cd to fix "Flash File System Damage…”

Maybe someone can help me with something?

My CL55 is having the same “Flash File System Damage…” displayed, head unit resets, no audio at startup until ignition is recycled, cannot navigate to a location saved using memory function, etc...issue.

I bought the update CD from MBUSA (220 589 05 22 00). I tried to install it in the head unit as the instructions specify and the COMAND does not detect the service CD. It plays audio CDs just fine but does not go into the "detecting autonomous service disk...." dialog as it should when this service CD is installed.

Can any one offer any advice? Thanks in advance!
