C class w204
w204 command fault

Hey there.

I am haveing problems with my recently fitted command system in my c class.

The fault is intermitant. The command unit will sometimes decide to turn itself on. The car may be locked or un locked without the key in the ignintion but the command unit switches itself on.

I have tried resetting it and even tried a new unit but the problem still persists.

Anyone else had a similar problem? If so what was the fix?

Perhaps a programming or wiring issue?

Thanks

if you tried another comand, and it still persists, then it is in coding. it is turned on via CAN or overridden by the power button switch to turn on... so either you screwed the button up pushing the comand back in which is highly doubtful, or you have yet to fully code your vehicle for it. which will need more info then just the comand software...

you'll need to update the cluster with software also, steering control module, and I think the BCM also... though I forget since it has been a while... also the AGW if you the HK system

Which Comand part number is it? I think early units had issues like this. I assume a SW update would have fixed these issues too.
