Last week I had the CarTronics satellite receiver installed along with the xmd-1000 tuner. It works as advertised through the COMAND controls. I do have a question that I do not know if it effects the factory installed units. If I am listening to a certain category and want to scan to the next channel, it will only scan within that category. An example would be if I am listening to channel 74, and scan to channel 75, then 76, after channel 76 it will go to channel 70, not 77. It will do the same thing if I am scanning the channels down to the next lower number. Is this normal? I can manually change the channels and do all the channel presets.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Wouldn't that switching/searching feature be covered in your manual, how you set it up, etc?

That is normal for SAT receivers. They scan within a category.
