Hi, I have an 05 c230 that I swapped a pioneer z110bt and alpine pdx-5 amp into. The amp is running the stock h/k speakers and they sound great! I was going to replace them but not anymore, I do need to replace the sub though, it's just not clean enough. Is it possible to put an aftermarket sub in place of the 8" that is in there? It would be nice to keep it stock looking and I don't mind using an aftermarket 8" woofer (prefer clean the precise sound of small speakers).

Yes

There are some manufacturer's that make shallow subs; magnet structure inside the cone area.

You just have to search the companies you prefer.
