comand aux input

Hi, can anyone please help.

I have comand with aux input in glovebox. I have connected up a portable DVD player that is designed for incar as well as out. The sound when playing a dvd through the bose is excellent when the engine is off.
The problem I have is that when I start the engine I have a noise come through the speakers of the engine that increases as I accelerate. Sounds like a car with a blown exaust. Any of you car audio experts that can help.

It's probably because your DVD player power supply sucks. Try putting an inline power filter on the DVD player. I've not had good luck with any of the Chinese-made DVD/MP3 portable players (the kind that run off 12V or 120VAC). They tend to be very noisy and also have voltage spikes in the output amplifiers (sound like POPs), so I stopped using them so that my speakers wouldn't get blown.

Also, you may want to make sure the cable connecting the player to the AUX input is of high quality (shielded). If it is not, it can pick up ignition noise.

Audio Only?

Sorry for the ignorance but, when you say that you have your DVD player plugged into the Comand Unit, is it just for Audio? The Comand screen is not used right? The screen that you're viewing is your DVD unit that you plugged in?
