Navigation Language
I've searched without success so I hope someone can help.
Using the engineering menu on the Nav unit of my 2008 E350, I am able to change the language to UK english (I like the british accent for directions). It works as expected and seems fine until I turn off the car.......when I start it again, the voice defaults back to American English, meaning the the change was not saved. Is there a way to keep it on UK English? Am I missing something?
By the way, it is a US spec vehicle.

Prior posts for on this topic for older COMANDs indicated it could not be permanently changed via that menu. I don't know if STAR can be used to change it permanently, but you'll pay for that.

my 2009 nav dvd only has the voice files for English US, French, and Spanish. I would love to have british and german. I wonder what would happen if you deleted the english file on the dvd, what would it do? Also, have you tried setting the language in the cluster to brit and setting the nav to be = cluster? Just ideas. What could i do to get you to send me a copy of your disc? i'd love to try putting those languages on my disc..
