05 C55 non-command MP3?
So I have searched and can't find a clear answer. does the non-Command HU or Changer play MP3s? I put a MP3 disk into the changer and it tells me no disk loaded. I put it into the single slot and it just sits there and says track 1. Should this unit play MP3s? I thought all units after 2003 were MP3 compatible. seems I read that somewhere.
Also how difficult is it to add bluetooth for phone? I don't have the MHI/UHI connector. Has anyone used the cartronics BT kit?
Thanks in Advance.

is this your HU?
I know mine plays CD-RW's, but I haven't checked MP3's. As for Bluetooth, I just put it in, and if I can do it, trained monkeys can. Call cellguy85 and he'll put together an MHI package for you. Probably $600 or so.

If your CD changer model # MC3520, it will play MP3 CD disk (my cousin 06C280 had this changer & play MP3 burned CD), the older CD changer (model # MC3198 or MC3010 will only play CD-R, RW but not MP3). Hope this info will help.

I guess i have the older changer as i cannot play MP3s in either the head unit (Audio 20) or the CD changer.
I'm wondering if simply getting a new changer would allow me to play MP3s?

Yes, just get the newer cd changer and you can listen to mp3. I did that with no problems at all.

You could always do the auxiliary input install in the glove compartment. About a 30min to 1 hour job. Check to see if you have the round perforation on the right of the interior of the glovebox wall.
