Im posting this after a discussion about retrofitting Nokia 6310i integrated phones into US cars to save paying silly prices for special Motorola phones. In Europe we get Nokia 6310i as our portable integrated phones - and you can use any Nokia 6310i as long as it has reasonably new software in it.

This has been done on a C(203) class by Dick Gleason (rgleason), so search to find that thread - however, there are some updated parts (a nice new cradle) for MY2003 which can be used on any car.

Also, the E(211) class has a completely different system to all the other MB vehicles, so here is some of the information for that, although extra parts will be needed. I am not in USA, so dont know what pre-wiring is there

------------------------------
CLK/C (209/203) parts - same parts for both vehicles - phones can be mounted in the centre glovebox, or on the side of the centre console if you dont have COMAND/Audio-30 (i.e you need access to the phone keypad to dial)

In glovebox:
Cradle for inside center glovebox A209 820 07 51
Cradle holder inside glovebox A230 823 00 60
Pop up plate for inside glovebox A211 820 02 51
Wiring in centre glovebox A209 820 01 15

CLK On side of console:
Cradle A209 820 06 51 (has longer cable than 07 51 part!)
Cradle holder for side of center console A209 820 03 51
C on side of console
Cradle A203 820 11 51
Cradle holder for side of center console A230 823 00 60

Phone Controller A203 820 25 85

--------------------------------
E (211) class

1x Cradle A211 820 14 51
1x Cradle Holder (expensive, nice pop up version) A211 820 02 51
1x Shelf in centre glovebox for cradle A211 823 07 11 9D53 (black)
1x Underbit of shelf (probably preinstalled on US cars) A211 823 09 11
2x Screws N000000 01955
4x Screws N000000 002696
Electric cable for inside glovebox A211 820 53 15

Phone interface A211 820 13 85 (for Nokia 6310i etc)
2x screws for above A001 984 80 29

E-Net compensator (for Euro GSM1800 - I.E NOT USA) A211 820 08 85
2x screws for above A002 984 69 29

--------------------------------

Cradles for other vehicles
CL - A215 820 03 51
S - A220 820 10 51
SL - A230 820 06 51
ML - A209 820 06 51 (mounts on side of centre console)

- cradle holders - the A230 823 00 60 part is used on most cars

--------------------------------
If putting phone in other older models

Use the cradle from the CLK/C (deciding whether you want the long or short lead), and the C class cradle holder - A230 823 00 60 and the normal phone controller. You should use the one with the short lead if going in centre console or theres too much wire !
---------------------------------

Part numbers came from a friend in a MB parts department, so I hope they are all correct.

Hope that is useful

Richard
