I just took delivery of my new 2010 AMG which I installed K40's new RL360 radar detector.

I also own a SL which I have the Escort 9500ci installed on it and have driven with it for almost 2 years now. I havent had much driving experience with this new K40 RL360 but so far I have noticed the following.

The K40 hands down has better detection range, they have also incorporated GPS into this radar similiar to the 9500ci but they have a few that the 9500ci does not that really help make this radar extremely remarkable and in some words SMART. Any feature on the K40 RL360 is customizable to my car and where I drive which I love because I can easily change them should I drive outside of my normal area. Now again it hasnt been in my AMG very long but so far I am very happy.

Well I have been testing the K40 RL100 (portable) and recently the RL360

The GPS feature of the RL360 is not like the 9500ci in anyway. the 9500 is pre-loaded with the red light cameras and the speed traps, where the RL360 doesn't. However I have had the 9500ci zone out a cop as a false alarm on morning drive

Yes they made it more sensitive... greatly more sensitive

the quiet ride is nice because it is adjustable

I am not one to interact with the radar detector, though I think I could for a day to mark the false alarms

The RL100 portable, will give the Valentine 1 a run for its money, and since it has GPS and quiet ride... I will say the RL100 is better

I just looked at the video I shot with my camera phone for the RL100... messed up for sure, I did post it on youtube but might take it off because of the poor quality.

plus I was more worried about the vehicle as it was a SL65 AMG Black Series

maybe if it is nice out later this week I will shoot one properly

Any additional thoughts on your new K40 RL360 Radar? I am also looking to get a radar any advice would be appreciated.

Very nice all around package. I have no complaints. I can assure this though... it definitely outperforms the calibre for sensitivity

Thanks to the two gentlemen above for the advice. I just got my K40 RL360 radar detector installed today. As stated this is a very nice package. I love there new remote and there quiet ride feature is awesome.
