CPO ends trouble begins

3 days after my cpo warranty ended my first problem cropped up on my 06' cls55.
Blew the fuse that has to do with the interior lights, mirror, homelink.
After replacing fuse I noticed I have new problems.

Multifunction display reads "please wait" for all the selected menus.

Voice control doesn't work.

Radio doesn't turn off with ignition off or door opened.

Comand works ok on it's own, just doesn't translate anything over to the
center display.

All fuses look ok, and I've been searching on here with no luck.
Hoping it just needs to be reset somehow.

Try disconnecting the battery for about 5 minutes, then reconnecting it. If after reconnecting you find other things don't work right, see https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w...ml#post3682080

The resets in the Handy Resets link will not fix the problem you originally described, but the fix may require the other resets.

Thanks, Skylaw.

I tried the resets. No luck.
Battery is only a year old but maybe it's not charged enough from using it for short trips in the cold weather. I'll try a trickle charge.

Thanks again

I subscribed to Alldata and realized that all my problems (I now have no volume control on the steering wheel or garage door opener on the mirror)
are associated with fuse #9.

My question is - If I narrow down the problem and replace the faulty part,
Will I still need to go to the dealer to get the electronics reset with their
equipment ?

Thanks

If it is fuse 9, all you'll have to do is replace the fuse. If there is a lingering problem, try the step in post #2 again. If those don't work, it's dealer time.

I did replace fuse #9 and everything worked again. But after a few days,
symptoms returned. When I re-checked the fuse it was ok, this time.
So everything associated with fuse #9 is out, so at least I narrowed down the circuit.
I think it's going to end up being a problem inside the 'homelink' mirror, which was replaced while still under warranty a couple months ago. Maybe
a pinched wire or something.
