Rear Entertainment Invalid disc error??
I have a 2008 MB GL450 with the dual headrest rear entertainment system. Nearly everytime I insert a DVD into it I get a message saying Invalid format or disc error. These are store bought DVDs, not copies. The dealer said they "reset the system" and it seemed to work fine for a week or so and now the error message is there again. If I eject and re-insert DVD several times in a row it eventually works. This problem occurs with brand new DVDs and the dvds that don't work in the SUV play fine in home player. Has anyone else had this problem? How did you resolve? Nearest dealer is 30 miles away so I'm looking for support to have unit replaced the next time I take it in so I don't have to deal with this again. Thanks for your help!

Try a laser head cleaning disc, available at nearly any store that sells CDs and DVDs (Best Buy, etc.) - it is possible that there is some buildup on the head preventing proper reading.
Also, when I get that message on some of my home DRD or Blu-Ray players, it tells me I may need a firmware update for the player. Just another possibility.
