Replacement smartkey from ikeyless
Hello,
Recently lost a smart key fob ( stiil have metal key ) for my 05 E500. My other FOB had been washed and no longer locks/unlocks the car but does start the car OK. Went to dealer and was told replacement smartkey was a ridiculous $350 and had be purchased through service department not parts.
Today I came across ikeyless.com which seems to sell the same key fob for a much more reasonable $139.
They say the dealer can program it. I'm a little worried about this claim as the dealer told me there was no aftermarket source for these FOBs.
Anyone out there have experience with getting smartkeys programmed?
