Question Question on retrofit OEM COMAND system

Hey guys, I need some advice fast. I am thinking of getting this:

2003 Mercedes Benz C and CLK Class Comand Navigation Radio
# Original equipment navigation radio for 2003 Mercedes-Benz C-Class and CLK-Class
# Mercedes-Benz part number: A203 827 53 42 (80)
# Bosch part number: 7612001531 / 7612001631
# All radio's are upgraded to the latest factory software/hardware versions D navi 2.0
# Vehicle compatibility is the responsibility of the customer
Blaupunkt/Bosch Factory Refurbished Mercedes Navigation Radio

from Midwest Electronics. I have an 03 C Class with the premium sound system and 6-CD changer. Is this a straight fit that retains all current functions? I would have it done at the dealership. Item is on sale until 3/3 so I need to hurry.
Thanks to all, I know nothing about these things!

It's a direct fit - no worries there. You're going to need a GPS antenna. Midwest electronics has been a contracted repair facility for Bosch for years, great place and I would trust their product and work.

Jw, but could you put a command system into an e55 from the standard audio 50? And do you have to pay Mercedes for the navigation? Not install, but like a monthly fee

Thanks a lot, kjb! Can/would the dealer do this job? If not, then where would you go to have it done?

Dealer or a good independent, it's a straight forward swap.

2005's are not guaranteed to be pre-wired. The left side buttons, top right should be the 'SAT' button. If you have that, then you need this:

Dealer programming possibly needed as well.

No need to swap the headunit if you have the 'SAT' button.

Thank you for the info. Yes, my headunit come with the sat button, also I check in the trunk and all the wires are there. Where do I put the antenna? Can I use the one in the roof?
