E55 (for sale if the right offer comes along)...too many others to list
Question on center speaker for W211
I don't blast the music but somehow I was able to blow the middle /center dash speaker. grrrr I did a search and read that you can only get that speaker from the dealer. Is this true? The dealer charges $280.00 just for the speaker without the install. The SA is a friend and told me that they are crappy and always blow. Is there any other option for me? I contacted an aftermarket company that said they could do it for $300.00 with a different speaker. Any advice?

Hertz HL70 is a very nice and suitable wideband spk.
