Kenwood aftermarket with 2003 E320
Hello, I've been researching and bought a Kenwood DDX418 from Amazon to upgrade my stereo. Everyone is telling me to get the Volkswagen Harness Kit and it would be an easy plug and play, just relay wires to my old Alpine amplifier that I already had, and get leads to the speakers from the stock HK amp. I was set to do the install this weekend, but I saw another thread, that this harness will not work because I had the Audio 50 which means I have fiber optic. My question is, where will I tap for power, if the harness will not work?

power ground at radio, ignition at fuse box or lighter...
maybe have someone in the mobile audio business do it for ya, because if your stumbling on this... the rest might be a bit out of your realm... which is OK, because none of us are a jack of all trades

did u install the DDX418? how is it? & how was the install?
