Hi! I am looking forward to up grade my OEM comand unit to be able to watch DVD and to install a rear view camera. I am wondering that:

1.can Mercedes Benz Analog TV Tuner part number A 211-820-1497 be able to install and work with my comand 2.0 system?

2. And do I need a tv in motion interface or can I active my unit by the STAR Diagnosis System? If I need a tv in motion can the TIV comand 2.0 unit for W203/w209 work on my cl? Or can anyone recommend any good video interface that works with my system

BTW, my w215 comand system is D2B comand 2.0 US version.

You said you have the US version, so I assume you are in North America. The Mercedes TV Tuner is an analog unit that is no longer usable in the US. You need an HDTV tuner with the M/H protocol. To use one of these tuners, you will need a VIM (Video In Motion) module that will also give you backup camera interface.

Hi! Cartronics thank you for the info I need the tuner for the video interface to install the dvd instead of the tv function but you pointed out that i needed a VIM but I read about that there is STAR way to active (or unlock the interlocks) the VIM function on the comand, can I do that for my car?

That does not exist on a 2003 USA car. You will need a VIM

trying to put a pioneer head unit tv/dvd with an eq on 2001 cl 600 my friend took everything apart then bailed i m putting subs,dr spkrs,back deck spkrs,and amps, just not sure how to mount tv any help would b great thanks
