Sirius 1.0 broadcasts to end in 2015
According to info on the link below, the transition from Sirius 1.0 and XM 1.0 to SiriusXM 2.0 will have several implications including the ending of Sirius 1.0 broadcasts in 2015.

Big question: is the Sirius receiver in a Mercedes a stand-alone box that could probably be replaced? How many variations of the receiver are there (for different car models and model years)? Is this going to be a disaster for Mercedes, or not too bad?
