I have an e350 2008 and somehow the the ipod chord no longer works for my iphone 4 due to a rip in one of the wires but it still works for my brothers iphone 3. In response to this issue I thought that simply purchasing an audio jack (3.5mm) and plugging it into the aux input inside the glove box would allow me to play my music through my iphone. For some reason the Aux input does not play ANYTHING. Why is that? and is there anyway I can fix it/find an alternative way to play my music?

 

The Aux jack is disabled when the iPod kit is installed in the car for your year.

 

replace the cord?

 

Is there a way to activate the jack again?
