My CL has blind spot assist. For years, I have added the small convex mirrors to the side view mirrors in all of my cars. I would like to do that as well in this car with blind spot assist. Assuming I do not cover the portion of the mirror that has the blind spot assist triangle, can I still add the small mirrors or is the radar function of the OEM mirrors on a larger portion of those mirrors. I do not want to turn off blind spot assist--just add to it.

It might be worth a try.I don't know exactly how it works but if,by chance,the "transmitter/receiver" is located *only* in the triangle I would think it would be OK.That's just a guess,however.

I was under the impression that the receiver and transmitter are from the back and side bumpers with the triangle just an indicator but I was hoping someone here knew the answer for sure.

Or you can be OEM and buy the German mirrors with that option. They have the built in blind spot section. Costs more, but .......
