Question Question to v60 Phone opton users

I'm having the Motorola v60 wireless phone option put in my E500 next week.

Question: Can I buy my wife a v60 phone, in addition to mind, with her own separate ph number and either of them work in the car depending who's drivng it and which phone is installed?

I assume the phone's memory (e.g., programed name/phone numbers, last # called, missed calls, etc.) drives the cars displays and therefore, that's what you'll see when either v60 phone in installed?

Thanks Mark

I was wondering the same thing. I don't see why not? Other than each time the phone is installed it downloads the phone book (I think).
I have the V60i and for the money there are better phones out there.
I have constant problems with my phone when it's in the car.
Cannot dial out, all I get is busy signals (When I'm out of my area code)
It's a simplex phone not a duplex phone, meaning you have to wait for people to stop talking before you can talk (Like a Walkie talkie) and if it's noisy on the other end the phone will not let you speak. It can be very frustrating.
Cannot dial long distant when I'm out of my calling area. (even though I can when the phone is not in the cradle)
The phone constantly changes the ring selection
I drop the damn thing all the time, the aluminum case is slippery. And it’s kind of hard to open.

The phone does work when it's out side of the cradle. But why would I want to do that, that's what I paid all the money for "Hands Free"
Just venting,
Hope yours works better than mine.
Tim

If you are talking about the Mercedes' Motorola phone, it will work. We have Timeport phones installed in our AMGs, when ever we are in each other's car, we plug in our own phone and my programmed numbers will show up. We have different numbers of course.

sure can

you can use 2 different phones as long as they are motorola v60 phones and not regular v60 phones. The data stored willl be different for both phones so the address books will be kept seperate.
