this particular alpine receiver has a 2v preout.... i've heard that u need a 4v preout in order for it to work with the stock bose amplifier... i have a 1999 clk 430... any opinions, comments, or help is greatly appreciated. im planning to install it myself by the way...

I just ordered mine along with an Alpine navigation unit which I was told by Crutchfield they are workable together. Will let you know the result after installation. I like the the retractable monitor of the unit.

Forgot to mention it's for my older 560SEL, it easier to work on than the 95 coupe due to all the wiring and harness. I do that because I am planning to keep both cars forever.

Okay, I am almost done with my setup. I had the 1004 installed with the nav system, it showed where I am but the only problem right now is I cannot move the cursor to anywhere to setup or other feature. Will have to call Alpine Monday and see what went wrong. And also, a CD changer will be added next week. So far the system has good decent radio receptions. Will let you know the rest when done.
