Telephone in car does not display location icon
I have a 2003 CL and finally got all my telephone numbers loaded into the telephone. When I put the phone into the car, it listed names multiple times without any indication as to whether it was a mobil, home, office..etc. I verified with the telephone service provider that the telephone was loaded correctly, and they could not do any more. Has anyone else had seen this problem, and do you have a solution, other than re-entering a location in the name field....thanks
Motorola had the location information in their phone books for quite a while, because their systems were not using SIMs. Nokia later added phone memory for the phone book to store information not normally stored in the SIM, and Motorola now does this as well on their GSM phones.
But since the COMAND interface hasn't really gained any functionality, it hasn't changed that you can't access the location information.
It's worse on my 2001 Audio 10 cassette... I can only access the person's FIRST number in the book, none of the other locations, let alone the location information!

I had to add the word "CELL" or "HM" or "WRK" to all my friends that have multiple numbers.
I think it sucks to pay all that money and have a system that isn't compatible. The phone and the command system should operate the same way. This would make programming the system much easier.
