Another StarTAC Question
Sorry Everyone but another question on the phones
I bought a 2000 CL500 with a built in MB StarTAC phone. It says digital on the phone for whatever that is worth. The phone is a CDMA type and Verison in our area will not connect it because they say its dual band.
At our company we use Cingular. Cingular told me they would connect me if I had a MB StarTAC TDMA phone even though it is dual band. My questions are as follows:
1. Will a MB StarTAC TDMA work in my car? or is the software/hardware in the Command system set up for CDMA?
2. Is my MB StarTAC CDMA worth anything? Could I trade it for a TDMA phone?
3. If a MB StarTAC TDMA phone will work in my car where can I get one?
I would apprecate any help I could get as my wife is already mad about this car and another $2000k to upgrade to the V60 would not be easy.

Hi!
1) yes, no (just plug it in and go)
2) yes, depends on how hard you look
3) ebay ... some dealerships may have old stock
Hope that helps.
You may want to consider a $500 kit from MBenzNL that will give you a Nokia phone kit, then the phone is about $150, and it will work with AT&T and Cingular (in some areas), Voicestream, T-Mobile.
