Motorola v60 bluetooth issue

Guys,

if you have a v60 puck installed, may be you can help. So my car is equipped the the v60 phone system. I just bought a v60 Bluetooth puck and it worked great...for a day or two. Now, nothing has changed in the system but the voice during calls is all garbled up. Strangely, if I move the iPhone closer to the puck, voice goes away altogether. Move the phone further away, voice comes back and becomes clear.

Does anybody know if there is a software update for these things? My problem seems to be intermittent. sometimes, I have perfect voice (regardless of physical location of the phone) and then others its all garbled up.

anybody else experienced this?

Only experienced it once in my dad's 2001 ML320. I couldn't get it to go away. I pulled the puck out, blew off the contacts, reseated and to my knowledge, it hasn't happened again.
