W218 w/ iPhone - Bluetooth steals control

Hi,

I have a 2011 W218 with the iPhone/iPod connection cable.

Whenever I'm playing media via the cable, MB Bluetooth steals control over the phone when I get a call. The iPhone operates perfectly when playing music, just that when I get a call via Bluetooth, it doesn't switch back - it tries to continue playing music via bluetooth.

Has anyone else seen this problem? I'd be grateful for any help you can offer.

Ever since apple updated their firmware to 5.0+ I've noticed issued. A 4s does the same thing in the '12 Volvo R design we have, when hooked up as both the Bluetooth source for hands free and music through the dock. It will push to the vehicle protocol through a2dp instead of the dock as a default. From my inquiries, apple won't admit its their problem even though it worked fine before their updates. Volvo knew of the issue and determined its on the apple side. Volvo had to release their own update for the Sensus system, it now works but still has hiccups. if there was a way to shut off a2dp on the phone that might be a start. I've tried various apps like a2dp blocker on the app store and they do not work. I think it's in the hands of the manufacturers.

I have a Droid Razr that I use in my W218. I don't have any issues. When a iPhone is hooked to the car as a music source, only, it works fine.
