No Sound From Speakers in '02 W210 E430
Hello all,
I am trying to troubleshoot a no sound issue on an E430. It's for a friends car and he isn't any help in the circumstances leading up to the failure. The head display was blank when I got to it so I pulled that out to find that the fuse on the back was blown. After installing a new 10amp fuse the display lights up and the volume level setting is functional (goes up and down) but there is no sound coming from the speakers regardless of the volume level.
Model: BE6003
Type: Audio 30
I've done some searches on various forums and it seems like it could be the amp. My plan is to purchase a used amp ($60) and try that out - unless there's something else the experts on this site would recommend?
