W202 lost sound on the drivers side.

So I was driving the other day listening to the radio when suddenly a really high pitch whiny noise came from my drivers door speaker. Then some static like sounds and then no sound at all. Left side works perfect. I thought maybe the speaker had gone out but I switched it to the other side (left) and it works fine.

The last couple days it will be quiet and then comes on for a few seconds and then static and popping noises again. I proceeded to just turn it off cause it was right down annoying. I took the stereo out and checked wires but everything looks right. Is it possible the that side channel is broken from the stereo it self...like no signal?

Any advise would be appreciated. It is a C36 so came with the Bose system.

thanks
