Command Text Messages & iPhone

Hey folks, just joined the forum tonight.

I've got a 2012 c350 coupe (with navigation) and an iPhone 4 running iOS 6 but can't seem to get the text messaging working in the Phone screen of Command. Here's what I've done so far:

1) Deleted bluetooth pairing on the phone and the car
2) Restarted both devices
3) Repaired the phone to the car
4) Made sure the "show notifications" option is turned on in the iphone's bluetooth config.

I had a friend send me a text message, but nothing shows up in command.

Anyone have any ideas?

I think the show notifications option is only for incoming calls. I've never seen a text message or anything else show up on the command. Although I heard on the euro models you can mirror the entire iPhone screen on the command.

Actually, it started working Saturday night. New text messages are shown on the command screen now.

Apparently the car and phone just need a little extra time to talk to each other.
