Front lighter socket

Hello,

This is probably a simple and stupid one, butI had a small 2 port usb charger in the lighter socket which worked fine for about 10 months some how it came a part basically broke inside, I just got a new one put it in and nothing doesnt work at all. I took the original lighter and it never pops out, I barely got it out of the socket. Could it be that it went bad ? What can I replace/check ? I really need a charger there.

Please help.

Did you check the fuse? I'm assuming you popped it when you broke the charge plug.

sounds like fuse, should be a 15 in the tire well (passenger side) just north of a relay in the center of the SAM... think there is 3 15's grouped together.... been a while though since I had to change the fuse on one (dimes and pennies... and the occasional cell phone charger falling apart)

Also if you look under the passenger side dash, there is another receptacle under there towards the transmission hump

My next thing to check is that. Does the lighter have its own fuse ? I have to find the chart.... Was playing around with this before the train in the AM....

I have to check if there is another receptacle even if this one is dead I can still use it. I hope its just a fuse. Hate when something is not working
