Damaged Nav screen?

Damaged Nav screen?
I have an 07 ml350 and the navigation screen isnt working properly, it has lines across it and is unviewable, Can anbody tell me whats wrong? if i need to replace the entire inside unit and screen or if i could just get a new screen?![Confused](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif)

I didn't write those, just a few of the others on that page. anyways I have a new ribbon somewhere. I would leave it off until you figure it out. The only thing you will need is a small Philips screw driver for the screws on the side of the screen (just the upper as it will flip over allowing you access
and a T20 for the 2 screws retaining the radio
and a T20 for the 2 screws retaining the radio

okay so i tried taking it apart and got the screws out so i could get to the back but then couldnt get the ribbon out, and didnt really understand the instructions, im really not good with cars

well..... it looks like your ribbon harness is out of place in the picture. You can send it to me and I will put it back at no charge as it is a 5 minute job, or you can give it another go. I'm in Ohio
