Radio code not working dealer no help

Radio code not working dealer no help
Guys,
I have a 2002 ML320 and have a few issues. The car sat for 8 months garaged and needed the battery replaced. I took care of most of the issues but the radio displayed WAIT. I put in the code that was on my card and still nothing. I called the dealer where the car was purchased and gave them the serial number on the radio AL-4210-1-07-03680 and they gave me the "correct" code of 23113 but I have put it in twice and it keeps going back to enter code. I know if I put it in one more time the radio will lock me out for 24 hours of running time. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? I pulled the radio to get the serial number.
