Phone Cradle Options?
Aftermarket goes on the optical line, and the way it is set up, it emulates the factory, steering wheel controls, cluster info... etc
usually around $700 installed
Is that phone supported in the U.S. market? I'd sure like to get a cradle for it.
Note that most of the cradles for Bluetooth phones have an antenna coupler that allows connection to the car's external antenna. Also note that many of the cradles designed for both plug-in and Bluetooth can be used in a handsfree mode ONLY with the type phone they were designed for; the V3 cradle I (still) have will work in a Bluetooth mode only with V3 phones. I could not, for example, pair the V710 or the iPhones I have with the V3 cradle. The cradle just won't recognize them.
Before you buy the European cradle - The phone system in your '06 W211 is MHI; however, the European UHI system is different from MHI. I don't know if cradles of this vintage designed for the European system will work with the U.S. MHI. You should check this first.

I gave up in the beginning trying to figure compatibility... I thought I had it and then the 3G iPhone wouldn't work with it... went aftermarket and never looked back. software updates suck to do on it because i have to find an old XP bluetooth laptop to perform the update
