my oem command head unit has died i have been rec. the eclipse unit as the best replacement any comments thanks.

Well they went out of business once... look into the Kenwoods

I agree with suggestion.

I think under hood it is same unit (Kenwwood) and they have same features (Gamrin, BT Parrot,...). I was in same dilemma and I bought Kenwood DNX-9140. If you search this and other MB forum, you can see installation picture etc.

Kenwood don't do much in the car stuff here- they are more into whitegoods. I don't know if the eclipse sold in Australia is the same people you spoke about- they are owned by Fujitsu, attached is a link to their website. Any feedback would be appreciated. They have suggested the Eclipse AVN827GA.

Eclipse dropped out of audio 2 years ago or so.. forget.. anyways after Kwood, would be Alpine or Pioneer
